Safety has been a guiding principal for Nexus since the firm was founded in 2005. The firm provides monthly safety training to all its employees to increase awareness of personal safety, the safety of others, and potential project safety risks.

It is calculated by combining the actual number of safety incidents and total work hours of all employees with a standard employee group, generally regulated by OSHA. Nexus maintains a zero incident rate to this day.
