Nexus Supports Continued Growth With Executive Team Promotion, New Hire

Lisa Theis promoted to Human Resources Director; Paul Morreale joins Nexus as Financial Controller

Cleveland, OH – Nexus Engineering Group, LLC announces its Human Resources Manager Lisa Theis has been promoted to Human Resources Director, while Paul Morreale joins the full-service engineering consulting firm as its new Financial Controller. Theis’s leadership in talent development and Morreale’s financial acumen come during record hiring in a fiercely competitive job market and growing client demand for reporting and analytics excellence.

Lisa Theis is an HR professional with more than 20 years of experience in Human Resources. She joined Nexus in 2018 as an HR Generalist. Since joining, Theis has overseen benefits administration, payroll, hiring, onboarding, and talent development. She strengthened Nexus’s benefits package, which is now benchmarked in the 75th percentile or better as compared to similar size engineering services firms nationwide. She also oversaw the firm’s growth from 90 to nearly 200 professionals. In her new role, Theis is responsible for leading and growing the Human Resources department to support record expansion.

Prior to joining Nexus, Theis spent six years as an HR and Office Operations Manager for the United Way Agency, Youth Opportunities Unlimited. There she was responsible for all HR functions, benefits administration, payroll management, procurement, and other operational functions. Theis has significant experience in recruiting, onboarding, training, employee relations, contract negotiation, benefits administration, policy creation & implementation, HR compliance, and strategic leadership.

Paul Morreale joins Nexus as Financial Controller. He is responsible for maintaining the financial wellness and integrity of Nexus with clients, suppliers, and banking institutions. Morreale will lead Nexus’s accounting function, overseeing all the activities needed for proper financial management. He’s  also responsible for delivering the financial analysis needed for the company to make timely management decisions.

“I’m very excited to join the Nexus team as Financial Controller,” says Morreale, “and provide the critical reporting, analysis and tactical leadership needed to help drive Nexus forward.”

Morreale has over 25 years of experience in accounting, business administration, and project management. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from Loyola University of Chicago and has earned his CPA. Morreale has a variety of experience, most recently serving as Project Manager, assisting Fortune 500 clients with their implementation of complex ERP Systems and transformation of key business operations.

Lisa Theis will report to Marianne Corrao, and Paul Morreale will report to Jeff Herzog. Both will be located in Cleveland.
