Nexus Welcomes Jovan Giaimuccio, PhD, as Project Controls Manager, a Strategic Addition to Strengthen the Firm’s Project Controls Expertise

Cleveland, OH, – March 2026 – Nexus Engineering Group, a full-service independent EPCm firm, is pleased to announce that Jovan Giaimuccio, PhD, has joined the firm as Project Controls Manager. His addition strengthens Nexus’s Project Services & Controls capabilities in support of complex capital projects. This strategic hire further strengthens Nexus’s Project Services & Controls capabilities and reinforces the firm’s commitment to delivering predictable, data-driven outcomes on complex capital projects. 

Jovan brings more than 15 years of experience in project controls, risk management, and project assurance across infrastructure, energy, industrial manufacturing, and specialty chemicals. He has a strong track record supporting project teams in improving predictability, managing risk, and enabling informed decision-making. Most recently, Jovan served as Senior Program Risk Manager on a multibillion-dollar national infrastructure program, where he led enterprise-level risk identification, mitigation planning, and performance reporting across a diverse portfolio of facilities, equipment, and technology projects. Earlier in his career, he advised owners and project teams on cost, schedule, and risk management strategies for highly complex, schedule-driven projects. 

Strengthening Project Execution and Predictability

In his role at Nexus, Jovan will support owner and project teams across all phases of execution, from front-end project planning through construction and commissioning. He will work closely with project management, engineering, and construction stakeholders to develop and maintain integrated schedules, perform risk and earned value analysis, and provide clear, actionable reporting that supports effective decision-making. 

His responsibilities will include: 

  • Developing and maintaining detailed, logic driven project schedules across engineering, procurement, and construction phases 
  • Supporting project teams with risk identification, forecasting, and earned value analysis 
  • Providing schedule quality checks, variance analysis, and performance reporting 
  • Partner with stakeholders to align execution plans, track progress, and proactively manage risk 

Jovan's extensive experience includes developing and implementing project management and risk management processes, establishing performance metrics, and integrating data analytics into project controls functions—capabilities that align closely with Nexus’s focus on delivering disciplined, transparent project execution.
