Firm will unite project management, project services, procurement, and construction management under a single umbrella led by Project Delivery Director, Brendan Shanley
Cleveland, OH, May 16, 2024 – Nexus Engineering Group, a full-service engineering, procurement, and construction management firm headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, recently announced the launch of a Project Delivery organization which will combine the project management, project services, procurement, and construction management functions. The centralized organization will be aligned strategically, delivering consistency, performance, and excellence across the Nexus portfolio of projects. It also integrates project delivery and service functions, where a high level of collaboration leads to optimal project outcomes for clients. The organization will be led by Brendan Shanley who is being promoted to Project Delivery Director.
Brendan Shanley joined Nexus in 2021 as a Project Services Director. Shanley has over two decades of knowledge and client-side experience in all aspects of project controls, cost engineering, and contract management. In his most recent role at Nexus, Shanley grew the Project Services team of estimators, schedulers, analysts, and coordinators and oversaw the successful launch of Procurement services.
Prior to joining Nexus, he served as a Project Services Leader at BP for their Downstream business, coordinating, developing, and implementing project control systems, tools, and procedures to drive project performance. Brendan holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Construction Quantity Surveying from Birmingham City University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Construction Law from Wolverhampton University.
“I look forward to developing the Project Delivery organization at Nexus,” says Shanley. “Nexus understands that you can maximize value and reduce costs for clients by coordinating project management, procurement, and construction management services. It will be exciting to bring that approach to life.”
Nexus Invests in Procurement and Construction Management Capabilities
Nexus launched procurement services in 2022, forming a stand-alone department to serve growing client demand for procurement strategy and planning, sourcing and contracting, equipment expediting and materials management, and contractor management. The department is headed by Mike Majchrowski, who has over 15 years of experience in contracting, sourcing, category management, and strategic procurement planning. Majchrowski is in the Maumee, Ohio office and reports to Brendan Shanley.
Nexus recently announced the hiring of Hugo Hall, who will fill the role of Construction Management Director. Hall is a Professional Engineer with over 10 years of experience across 8 megaprojects with one of the most successful Engineering-Procurement-Construction (EPC) general contractors in the world. Most recently, he was responsible for building the construction management arm for another engineering services organization located in the Mid-Atlantic. Hall holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland.
“Evolving to an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCm) model is a natural next step for Nexus,” shared Jeff Herzog, President and Co-Founder of Nexus. “These are services our clients are asking for and we now have a high caliber team in place to deliver them.”
