Nexus Engineering Group Promotes Don Newberry To Chief Financial Officer
Newberry will oversee the firm’s accounting and finance functions in addition to project services.
Cleveland, OH – Nexus Engineering Group LLC announces the promotion of Don Newberry to Chief Financial Officer. Newberry will be responsible for providing strategic direction for the accounting and finance functions at Nexus. He will continue to lead the project services function.
Newberry joined Nexus in November 2019 as the Senior Director of Project Services. Since joining, he has further developed the Nexus project controls function and has built a robust team of experienced project service professionals.
Project Services, which traditionally includes scheduling, estimating, and cost controls, has a direct impact on both external and internal Nexus processes, practices, and performance. To be effective, Project Services must be closely integrated with financial and accounting processes. In his new role, Newberry’s responsibilities will include strengthening internal financial policies, procedures, and controls as well as providing planning and analytics to improve the firm’s overall financial performance and cash management.

Newberry will report directly to Jeff Herzog, President and co-founder of Nexus Engineering Group, LLC.

Newberry, a project management professional and chartered professional accountant, holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree as well as an MBA. He’s held various and progressing roles in accounting, finance, and project services capacities for leading firms based in Canada and the United States.
